My PhD at UAB is on Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1) and its associated cancers: single-cell and multi-omics analysis of tumor models, and the existing drugs worth testing against them.

building

A small ecosystem of R and Python tools my apps and pipelines share: biobouncer for validating biological identifiers, bioclients and biohttp underneath it, plotomics for GPU-accelerated visualization, and genescout for evidence-based gene prioritization. peacock and my R Shiny template keep new projects reproducible from the first commit.

working on

Back to my PhD research and the open-source tools above, after a summer as a software engineer on Posit's Shiny team (May to mid-August 2026).

teaching

R, Git, Bash and Python workshops at UAB, as a certified Carpentries instructor.

writing
