Neurofibromatosis Type 1
Much of my PhD research centers on Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1), a genetic condition that predisposes people to nerve-sheath tumors, some of which progress to aggressive cancers.
My work turns single-cell and multi-omics data from NF1 tumor models, human and rat, into insights that can guide diagnosis and treatment. In practice that means cell-state analysis to surface testable hypotheses for drug repurposing and prioritization, finding and fixing data-quality issues in single-cell datasets, and building interactive tools so researchers can explore these datasets and iterate on their hypotheses.
